Gartner recognizes Infor as an apparel and footwear PLM native

Infor PLM included in Retail, Footwear and Apparel market guide

Infor has been included in Gartner’s Market Guide for PLM for Retail, Footwear and Apparel. CSCOs and heads of apparel, footwear and accessories product development at retailers and manufacturers increasingly place PLM in their top tier of strategic initiatives. This Gartner research defines the software market and describes the supporting technology providers.

Gartner identifies Infor as an apparel and footwear product life cycle native, which is defined as:

“…software providers with expertise in product design and development activities for multiple industries. As a rule, they developed their PLM expertise in industries other than RFA. These providers first developed and deployed PLM in industries with complex industrial design challenges, such as aerospace and defense (A&D) or automotive. They have extended their capabilities to address the intricacies of RFA companies by leveraging existing core functions such as product data management, and either acquiring or building RFA-specific data models, workflows, reporting capabilities and so on.”
