Creating the assortments that meet the demands of today’s omni-channel shoppers requires a detailed, analytics-driven understanding of the products needed by individual stores and online commerce sites. RAMAs must also offer the capabilities for core tasks such as providing the information to generate a purchase order for the vendor without involving a core ERP execution system.
This new Gartner report, titled "Critical Capabilities for Merchandise Assortment Management Applications," evaluates the industry’s top providers of RAMAs—including Infor Retail—across 15 functional categories and assesses their respective strengths and shortcomings in three use cases: CPG and grocery merchandising, fashion merchandising, and general merchandising. It provides an objective assessment of each vendor’s ability to deliver the needed functionality in areas such as advanced item demand management, simultaneous channel planning, and store/channel/item management.
